Our conference is the single most important medical meeting on ageing to take place in Ireland every year. It brings together clinicians, therapists, practitioners, researchers, managers, policy-makers, advocates and other experts - from Ireland and beyond. This event is of particular interest to those who are engaged in the design, implementation and delivery of optimum health and social care to older adults. In 2016 the conference took place in Killarney with more than 350 delegates. We expect even greater numbers at this year’s jubilee event in Wexford in September.
The theme of our conference is Changing Perspectives in Gerontology – The Next 65 Years. Conference sessions, including plenary lectures by internationally renowned keynote speakers, are organised across key themes. Parallel sessions include oral presentations of abstracts from the latest research. Breakout sessions facilitate viewing of our comprehensive display of some 200 abstract posters which are situated within our industry exhibition area.
Visibility at this unique event, and direct access to the delegates, provides your organisation with valuable opportunities to position your brand, have your name noticed, and your organisation remembered. You will also gain recognition for supporting this important initiative. Our menu of sponsorship options ranges from exhibition space through to symposium sponsorship and individual branding opportunities such as lanyards and conference materials.
The Irish Gerontological Society is a not-for-profit society. Our communities and undertakings cross organisational, institutional and professional boundaries. We bring people together to advance the science, knowledge and adoption of integrated excellence in issues and practices that are important to the well-being, health, support and care of older adults
Backing from enterprises such as yours is critical to the success of our conference and we are always extremely grateful for any contribution. Your support permits us to organise and offer a first-class conference with world-class gerontology content.
We very much hope that your organisation will give consideration to partnering with us this year. Please contact Miriam Ahern (086 234 2789, firstname.lastname@example.org) for our Conference Support Opportunities list which offers you prominent branding opportunities for maximum exposure throughout this conference.
