The Irish Gerontological Society and ALONE are delighted to announce that this year's lecture at the Annual Scientific Meeting of the Irish Gerontological Society will be delivered by Professor Brian Lawlor.
In recognition of the enormous contribution Professor Lawlor has made to dementia research, policy and practice in Ireland, the society is delighted that the theme of this year’s 2021 Willie Bermingham lecture is entitled ‘Loneliness and Brian Health.’
The lecture will be presented as an online event on Thursday 21st October from 3pm, followed by the AGM at 4.00pm - 4.45pm.
Professor Brian Lawlor is a professor of old age psychiatry at Trinity College Dublin, and deputy executive director of the Global Brain Health Institute. He is a geriatric psychiatrist with an interest in dementia, late-life depression, loneliness and brain health.
