66th Annual & Scientific Meeting 2018 - Symposium: Health and Social Care Professions

This symposium will be facilitated by IGS Vice President Dr. Rose Galvin and Hon. Secretary Elaine O Connor. This year the symposium will focus on research opportunities for clinicians and public and
patient involvement (PPI) in clinical research. Dr. Éidín Ní Shé, Research Fellow, School of Nursing, Midwifery and Health Systems, University College Dublin will provide an overview on how patients and
the public can meaningfully and actively collaborate in the governance, priority setting, and conduct of research, as well as in summarising, distributing, sharing, and applying its resulting knowledge. Dr. Rose Galvin, Senior Lecturer in Physiotherapy, University of Limerick will present an update on nationaland international funding opportunities for practising clinicians.
