A group of older adults who get together at The Irish Immigration Centre just outside Philadelphia, Pennsylvania (USA), has participated in a creative fundraising initiative. Dressed as players in scenes from Irish-themed movies, they enacted famous scenes which were then photographed and published in a wonderful calendar.
Prof. Anne Bradley Mitchell, who will visit our IAGG-ER Congress in Dublin later this month, kindly send the IGS office some copies of this fabulous production.
We love October - Waking Ned Devine. The handsome and derring-do star of the photograph, Mr. Declan Forde, had a recent hip arthoplasty so they had to lift him onto the scooter!
