The Citizens Assembly meets on June 10th and 11th for the first of two weekend sessions devoted to the challenges and opportunities of an ageing Ireland.
Sage’s submission to the Citizens’ Assembly reflected the work of the Forum on Long-Term Care in 2016 and focused specifically on three aspects of the challenges facing us:
Maximising the older population as a social, community and economic resource
The role of housing in enabling people to live independently in the community
Developing innovative social enterprise initiatives to meet the multi-faceted needs of people requiring care and support
