Sage (Support and Advocacy Service for Older People) is currently recruiting volunteers to train as Sage Representative – Advocates and provide a service to older people in the following priority areas: Dublin North, Dublin South West and Kildare, Cork, Limerick and Mid-West, Galway, Cavan and Monaghan.
Sage Representatives can work in a variety of care settings and in a number of roles including Advocate, Facilitator and Support Person. This recruitment round is focused on Advocates, however, you may wish to use this process to register your interest in other roles and areas as Sage will be recruiting again in 2015.
A FETAC accredited training programme will be provided for volunteers, along with ongoing support and supervision from core paid staff and other experienced Sage Representatives.
Closing date for applications is Friday 21st November 2014, and training begins in January 2015.
