The aim of this symposium is to have a purposeful discussion around interdisciplinary education, the concept that interdisciplinary education commences as an undergraduate and becomes an integral part of day-to-day practice.

Key experts will discuss the importance of interdisciplinary education from a clinical, academic and research perspective and its role and impact in older persons care.

This symposium will be of interest to academics, researchers, doctors, nursing and health and social care professions.

Programme: Click the link above to view or download the programme for this event. Speakers include experts on the physical, emotional, and cognitive wellbeing of older people.The programme covers the latest updates on innovation, learning, and health-promotion.  Topics include: Interdisciplinary learning, HaPAI and life-long learning, frailty education, advances in integrated care, dementia training in primary care, pharmacy update and health literacy.

Bus Routes:

The following buses stop on the Merrion Road at the front of the Hospital:

4 – departs from Harristown, through O’Connell St. to Monkstown Avenue
7/ 7a – departs from Mountjoy Square to Loughlinstown/ Cherrywood
145 - departs from Hueston Station, through the city centre and out to the N11, stopping at RTE which is 10 minutes walk to the Hospital 

Car Park:

There are three car parks in St. Vincent’s University Hospital:

24hr multi-storey car park located opposite the main entrance to the hospital
Underground car park close to the Emergency Department
24hr Herbert Wing car park located at the back of the campus
