Gerontological Masterclass Series A Person Centred Approach to Safeguarding Adults

This masterclass will examine the practice and legislative approaches for professionals in the context of implementing a person-centred approach to safeguarding adults who may be at risk of abuse. Issues related to human rights, the requirements of the Assisted Decision Making Capacity Act, case scenarios and pathways for reform in safeguarding will also be presented.

Presenters: Ms Caoimhe Glesson, ADMCA Lead, Health Service Executive. Ms. Patricia Rickard Clarke, Chair of Safeguarding Ireland and former Law Reform Commissioner. Associate Professor Amanda Phelan, Co-Director National Centre for the Protection of Older People.
