The National Dementia Strategy emphasised the importance of dementia research as a way to develop better evidence to inform healthcare development in dementia which can positively impact on people’s health and wellbeing. The purpose of this event is to showcase a range of dementia research projects which support the aims of the National Dementia Strategy and to provide researchers and decision-makers in Government Departments/Health Service Executive an opportunity to:
- Hear about the current scale and scope of applied dementia research across different specialities in Ireland;
- Explore how research findings can inform decision-making and policy development;
- Facilitate engagement between dementia researchers and policy-makers, to share and exchange knowledge, identify potential for collaboration and reflect on future priorities.
