The IGS is an inclusive society for all disciplines working in the area of gerontology. The Health and Social Care Professionals (HSCPs) are represented on the IGS Executive Committee by Edel McDaid, physiotherapist (pictured left). Íde O'Shaughnessy (pictured right), an occupational therapist, is also a member of the IGS Executive Committee. Together, Edel and Íde bring the perspective and experience of Health and Social Care Professionals to the IGS. 

Every year at the Annual Scientific Meeting there is a dedicated HSCP event where members have the opportunity to meet, learn and share their expertise with others in their HSCP discipline.
